Details about the 2011 BMW 5 Series are starting to emerge and Performance BMW wants to share them with you. Exterior Design. "If a vehicle doesn't look dynamic how are we supposed to believe that it drives dynamically? You have to be able to both see and feel its character. It's the same with talent. It's not enough just to have it, you have to be able to use it." Adrian van Hooydonk, Head of BMW Group Design. BMW's exterior deisgn philosophy is shown in more detail in the first of two included videos in the blog. Under its beautiful new shape, the new 5 series boasts a large large amount of technical advancements, some not seen before on any vehicle, at any price. Features like integral active steering that provides more agility and stability in every situation, with rear wheels that help to turn up to a maximum of three degrees - a small movement with large effects. There's even adaptive drive to allow to the new 5 series to glide through bends with ease and comfort.
Moving to the new 5 series interior is to move into a state of sophistication, luxury, and comfort unavailable in most vehicle. Not only will you find BMW signature items like iDrive and class-leading widescreen professional navigation system display, you all new options like independent rear entertainment displays and four-zone automatic climate control. Question: What does the 2011 BMW 5 series have in common with a Rolls-Royce Ghost? The answer is... each is built on a modified BMW 7-series chassis.

Monday, November 23, 2009, BMW unveiled the new 5 series, the sixth generation of the midrange BMW luxury care, in Munich. The event, ehich was telvised in Europe, took place in the very stadium where Munich hopes to host the 2018 Olympic Games and was attended by BMW executives and employees.

Changes abound for the 2011 5 series model. The new 5 series looks, feels, and drives more like it's pricier sibling, the 7 series. It's even grown in lenth. Even with the 5 series bearing a large resemblence to the 7 series, there's also a lot of 3 series influence in the design as well.

For the United States, the 5 series will feature a 4.4 liver V-8 with 407 horsepower, single-turbo 3-liter inline 6 (306 horsepower) a 3-liter inline 6(258 horsepower) and a turbocharged 3-liter inline 6 diesel (245 horsepower). All platforms are said to be more power, but better in fuel mileage than the current 5 series lineup.

An all new 8-speed automatic transmission will also be offered for the first time.

How soon? All BMW has said so far is "next year." Performance BMW willl continue to keep you udpated as more details on the next generation 5 series surface. New 5-Series | First Image...

Clean, fresh look for the new BMW 5-Series. The new BMW 5-Series is coming! The official unveiling of the new executive sedan is expected soon, but here at Performance BMW, we're one step ahead of the competition.

The image above should give you a good indication how this new model will look. More sporty and smoother are two words that instantly come to mind.

The old rear is gone, replaced by a tail inspired by the 7-Series, while a bold crease runs from the front wheelarch to the rear lights. This emphasises the extra 20mm of length the new model has over the outgoing car. Inside, the 5-Series will share its cabin layout with the recently launched 5-Series GT.

As with its Mercedes E-Class arch rival, a barrage of cutting-edge technology will appear – and a healthy proportion of it will be devoted to driving enjoyment. Four-wheel steering is to be carried over from the 5-Series GT, while an active rear differential will provide maximum traction.

Efficiency is high on the agenda, with stop-start ensuring that CO2 emissions tumble by 10-15 per cent. European four-cylinder models are fitted with the set-up from launch, while six-cylinder cars get it in 2011.

The 272bhp straight-six from the 530i will be carried over unchanged, but the 550i will swap its 4.8-litre V8 for the cleaner and more powerful 401bhp twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 from the 7-Series.

Diesel models are said to be in the works as well.

The 5-Series family will grow when the Touring version is introduced soon after the sedan. But performance fans will have to wait until 2012 for the next M5 – and the existing car’s V10 will make way for a 555bhp 4.8-litre twin-turbo V8.

Use CARS for new cars

Considering trading in your vehicle? Take advantage of the CAR Allowance Rebate System (CARS), a federal program that helps the consumers buy or lease a more environmentally-friendly vehicle from dealers when they trade in a less fuel-efficient car or truck. The CARS is basically a $1 billion government program through which the consumers can get a $3,500 or $4,500 discount from the dealer when they trade in their old vehicle and buy or lease a new one. One main plus point of the program is that the consumers do not have to register anywhere or at any time for this program. Here are a few important points to keep in mind to utilize the benefits of this program.

Your vehicle must be less than 25 years old on the trade-in date
Only purchase or lease of new vehicles qualify
Generally, trade-in vehicles must get 18 or less MPG (some very large pick-up trucks and cargo vans have different requirements).
Trade-in vehicles must be registered and insured continuously for the full year preceding the trade-in
The program requires the scrapping of your eligible trade-in vehicle, and that the dealers disclose to you an estimate of the scrap value of your trade-in. The scrap value, however minimal, will be in addition to the rebate, and not in place of the rebate.
Last but not the least, the CARS program runs through November 1, 2009 or when the funds are exhausted, whichever comes first

Sizzling 2009 models of the ultimate driving machine are waiting to be picked up at our dealership!

We have an impressive lineup of new 2009 models consisting of the 3 Series, X5 and X6.

Let us start with the 2009 3 Series. Its two trims, the 328 and 335 run on a highly refined engine that comes with 230-hp on an inline six-cylinder. With torque of only 200 lb ft for this kind of power, you can enjoy a stable and smooth ride.
