It's All About Weight...

Have you ever wondered just what makes a BMW so amazing to drive? I believe most of us have driven a BMW and have not given much thought to how much engineering goes into these vehicles to make them handle so flawlessly. Everything on a BMW is engineered to add to that distinctive feeling. The goal with every BMW is to achieve a perfect 50/50 weight balance front to rear.

Things such as a Magnesium/Aluminum engine block that lower the weight in the front to positioning the battery in the rear of car all add up achieving that goal. Every component is analyzed to determine how it can be improved. Features such as the Carbon Fiber roof on the new M3 help lower the center of gravity and reduce weight.

Why does BMW go to such lengths? Well ask anyone who has driven or who drives a BMW and they will agree-it is worth it!
